A great family friendly event, presented by Macon-Bibb County Parks and Recreation Dept. Chairs, blankets, and coolers of food and drink are permitted. You’ll have to leave your alcohol at home for this one, but there will be free popcorn and snow cones!

Corks & Canvas – The 567 Center for Renewal – 7pm – $25
Grab your friends and a bottle of wine and head over to The 567 for a fun, beginner-friendly painting workshop. Alesia McKenzie, a local artist, will help you paint a beautiful 11×14 portrait of a lion.

Alex Guthrie with Back City Woods will be performing at the Hummingbird Stage and Taproom (10:30pm) and you’ll be able to catch Natalie Brady at the Crazy Bull (8pm)!

Grab your yoga mat and sunscreen and start your Saturday off right! This class is for all levels of experience and children are welcome! While it’s a free class, donations are always welcome! Tip: Bring a towel to place under your mat on the grass!

Intro to Digital Photography – Ampersand Guild – 2 to 5pm – $25
BYOC…bring your own DSLR camera that is! Join Macon photographer Claire Helm for a beginner’s guide, covering the basics of using your camera in manual mode. This three hour class will include one hour of instruction, one hour photo walk downtown, and will finish with a review of your photos and question/answer session.

Poetry & Pastries – Recess Bar & Lounge – 5-10pm – FREE
A fun night of poetry and pastries, featuring various artists. Pastries make everything better.

Taste of the Arts – Terminal Station – 6pm – $40 in advance/$50 at the door
Wear your super bad ‘70s attire and groove to the beat at this benefit for Macon Arts Alliance. A silent auction, live music, great food…the list goes on!

Swain & the Highway Souls – Barefoot Tavern – 8 to 11pm – FREE
Check out one of the bands from Macon Music Volume 2! Grab a beer and jam out with this great band in Bearfoot’s fun beer garden. Second Sunday – Coleman Hill – 6:00pm – FREE
Grab your friends and family and head to Coleman Hill for a Second Sunday concert. It’s FREE and picnics, lawn chairs, and pets are welcome. No picnic, no worries…The Brick will be there with food and drinks for purchase. The concert starts at 6, but you probably want to get there a little early to grab a good patch of grass!

Rhythm N’ Jazz on the Dock – Gateway Park – 6pm – FREE
Enjoy some music riverside! This Sunday will feature Edward Dunbar, the lead singer of the Drifters!
